An art installation which I have created for 1971 design space, invites visitors on a journey to discover Physiognomy in a spacial experience, transforming an intangible science into a tangible design experience within an enclosed space.

Inspired by the historic significance of the science of physiognomy in our region, “We are the imprints” reflects the impressions humans bestow amongst each other. The way one’s physical appearance, behavior as well as our gut feelings “imprint” a particular impression in our mind.

The Installation transforms the intangible science of physiognomy into a tangible design experience within an enclosed space, taking you through the journey of a physiognomist, raising your curiosity and questioning: Is physiognomy still relevant today? or is it simply a gift that a person is born with?
